How can you eliminate odors while drying?

I grow in a 4x4 tent that has a charcoal scrubber so while growing, smell is not an issue. I have hung buds up in the tent to dry before but then it throws off my rotation of getting the vegging plants in. I'm open to suggestions on how people dry and mask the smell. I see no reason to mask the smell for 9 weeks then have your place smell like a dispensary.

Yeah I usually dry in the basement. I have hooks in the studs of the ceiling and run string against the back wall to dry.

trimming is the bad part.
keep temps down and the waxy coating will keep most f the smell in the trich. i usually run lines on my ceiling and hang em, i like having lbs above my head while sleeping.

True, trimming brings out the funk. It smells good to me but maybe not so much to my neighbors. Do you hang the buds like a mobile in a baby's nursery?

Get a smaller tent and vent into your flower tent. I use a 50 cfm duct fan.

Not a smell except when you open the tent to check dryness.

Make a few hanging shelves from wire shelves and wire/chain/etc. Leave 16 inches between shelves and cut you branches 12 inches long. Hang with clothes pins and put popcorn on top of shelves.

I can't dry in the tent because I'll have the lights on flowering the next round. Flaming Pie's idea of a small tent vented into the flowering tent makes sense and would be an easy setup.

I have a similar dilemma. I have a small harvest, a single auto that's looking to bring in 40-60g dried, but I have another plant that will take at least 2-3 more weeks.

My current answer is putting a cardboard dry box inside of my grow tent, but the main issue is making it sealed to light (and in small dimensions). The issue is that any effort to make it light sealed increases the chance of dead air pockets, but that's my only realistic option.

I'm also in this situation. After reading this thread I think I have found my solution.
Thanks a million!

The solution is,
1 wardrobe box/big cardboard box
4 in duct tubing

I will running the 4" duct tube into the 4" tent hole. The cardboard box will also have an intake hole of which I will extend a 4" tube a few feet out so I can bend to block light but keep an opening.

Sooooo... That tube is my intake, into the cardboard drying box, which runs another tube straight into the tent, of which the tent will use the inline fan/charcoal filter system, exhausting out the tent.

One way in, and one way out.

Using tubing (exhaust side only for me) is a brilliant way to get rid of the light, I still have a ton of that left over. I use passive intake for my tent, so I'll have the intake end of the cardboard box open (and covered well) with a desk fan blowing straight into it.

Thanks

I have a tent dedicated to trimming and drying. Veg in closet, flower in tent 1, trim and dry in tent 2. So far so good.
