how close does it have to be???

i have a flourecent light set up but i recently put a clamp light by my organic soil og kush strain with a cfl bulb in it how close does it have to be to get good lighting??

same as above.. im new as well but wondering if you are using t5 fluorescents or t8's?

edit: the only thing stopping you from getting closer is the heat. I don't remember the rule but if its not too hot on the back of your hand then i think its ok.

thats what i think i read and have been told. as long as the bulb isnt touching you are pretty much ok put i think most ppl say like 2-3 in
