how do growers get caught ?

is it a friend that tell on them or the police runs acannabis scanner ?

Most times an anonymous tip starts an investigation.

Or an angry female. No offence to anyone, but I have seen more than a few ops get busted due to an angry woman, hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn!

Carelessness ... Odors and looselips.

The last few major busts I've read about were noticed because the growers were stealing electricity.

Well.. one thing is for certain..

If I were growing illegally, I wouldn't post about it from my home, over the internet..

Are you talking Indoor or Outdoor, cause different things give away each.

but yeh a angry women is your worst fear. just dont tell your lady anything about it, dont even get anywhere close to the idea of growing. that way she cant do shit. if you gonna tell anyone telling your best friend wud be the safest, but even that is a gamble. never trust a women, too emotional. lol, and how can you trust someone who bases their actions upon emotions?

They mostly get caught selling drugs. One person rats on another and so forth...the grower gets busted. Or they get busted being stupid i.e. telling people, not working, having too many people come in and out of an apartment. In any case, try not to grow dope where it's illegal or grow enough for your personal use w/o selling it.

If you're selling dope, in any sort of meaningful amount you're going to get busted eventually.

What is a meaningful amount ( just curious). I would say the one reason people get busted is because they sell out of where they are growing and a ton of traffic to any place just illicits suspicion.

Meaningful amount=whatever gets police attention. It could be an ounce it could be several pounds. You never know whose going to rat you out. If you're growing for personal use/for a select few of friends you shouldn't have any trouble with LEO. If you plan on making drug production or selling your job then you'll eventually will get caught. Even the best operation get busted eventually. Most people growing for a living have been busted at least once.

If you're not selling drugs you shouldn't have any trouble. You'll mostly be under LEO's radar. Selling drugs in any sort of volume is going to attract attention to yourself eventually. It's the transaction of money and drugs that gets cops to investigate. They really would have a hard time tracking you otherwise.

Bottom line is learn something, go to school, find a job. Don't depend on drug money as a career unless you live somewhere where it's legal to do so.
