I had her out in the garage under a small light while i got my setup built and it got really cold the past 2 nights.
I hadn't checked in on her and I found her in bad shape. Her leaves were brown, hanging down and droopy.
After transplanting her into a larger pot, i gave her some water and sprayed her leaves.
I then had her under the 400 mh light, I may have left her a little too long under there [about 6 hrs}or a little too close to the light{about 14"}.
I don't want to lose her..is it too late?
What can I do?
The little cfl light I had her under is too weak and the mh light is too strong[i can see burn marks on her top leaves]??

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Ill-
I will put her back under the light in a couple of hours but do you think the duration is a problem?
Is putting her under such intense light bad for her, i mean can I leave the light on for 18 hours?
I've got a plastic dome that fits over the pot, should I put in on or will this focus the heat too much, its in a closet and the temps were about 33C about 90F.
What about liquids..should I just give her water or add any nutrients [i've got a small bottle of muskie oil-a friend recommended it]?

Thanks.

Wow - she's in a bad shape. I agree that you could just put the MH further away. I think the 18 hours will be fine. I wouldn't give her anything but some quiet peace for a while. Water just when almost dried up. Wouldn't add nutes right now - it's rather some ph problem and definitely not nute defficiency (well it is, but it is probably caused by the ph value). There should be sufficient nutes left in the soil for the plant to grow normally i think. - that's my 2 cents ;O))

Hey Brimi-thanks for the advice, I moved the light up and left her for 8 hours. Looking at the pics..she's shrivelled up more and her leaves are turning brown [is that a ph problem or are the leaves getting burned by hot spots created with the use of mylar?] Also, what do you think about the setup? should I take off the mylar and just use the white paint? Can I ask how much water do you usually give when transplanting? I put about 300ml and i've been giving them about 100ml everyday because the soil feels really dry at 1-2". Just in case i'm over watering, i'll hold off on feeding them today. Thanks.

90 degrees is a bit hot. leave the leaves she is going to use thouse for nutes for new growth and dont water her to much unless the light is really eating u the water i think your biggest problem is ether heat or the ph of the soil wont let her get water. but that's imo

have you recently changed lighting? Is that what you said above?
When going from CFL to HID, the plant was used to the CFL and it could be high temps and illumination burn.
These would make any newer grower overwater to try and help the ladies.
I hope this is the case. Especially it is easier to ride out. Move the Light farthest away and wait. (2nd illuminations post)

Are there hot spots inside your grow area? Have you exhaust in addition to the 6-8" clip on fan?
How is your Intake? I am pumping out about 300-400CFM. $100.00 Keeps me Coool and plants sway with the wind, ever so slightly. Making them stronger.

Ph could be the problem What water and soil are you using?

As for transplanting, normally soaking the plant hours before the operation and transplanting into moist soil normally is plenty.
Once transplanted normally wait before heavy watering for signs of transplant stress. If we over we add over water stress.

Can you lower the temps outside the area in which you are growing? If your temps are 85+, this might help cool them down.

Not going to touch on a solution for Ph, as if it is your problem, (still not sure with all that may have happened to your ladies) it may be more difficult to correct and could cause further damage.

If you were taking notes....
Wait, don't water till you see them droopy, move light, lower temps, NO Nutes! Keep it Simple!
How much is a cheapo PH tester?

When I saw some twisting leaves, within hours I figured it was PH, I changed my water stopped over watering, Let dry out, plant recovered.

Awesome suggestions. I have some work to do on my setup. I need to get the ventilation working, i'm just building the carbon filter now and I need to set up the 4" inline fan. I'll post photos of the set up and post the results of the temps. I did water again tonight because I was worried, I'll hold of for sure starting tomorrow. Will post more tomorrow.
