Hiya,
Just finished my first real grow following recommendations learned in this forum. I was very pleased with the final product. (See picture).
I'm starting a new batch and want to know how to increase the thc production. As you can see from the picture, the buds in the first batch were well developed. However they didn't seem to have that much resin. They produce a very nice high, but it doesn't last all that long.
In my mind I keep hearing David Allen Coe doing The Devil Went Down to Jamaica, "green as a bullfrog, sticky as glue". hahaha! I am not sure what I need to do to duplicate that "stickiness".
I am assuming that the more resin (thc, stickiness, whatever you want call it) improves the potency and the duration of the high. Is that correct?
This batch was grown in a Phototron (housing limitations prevent a "grow room"). They are being given constant water and nutes through a feed-a-tron.
Is the THC production a product of the amount of light, the amount of water, or a combination of both? I used to think it was both, but if so why is stuff grown hydroponically so good? That leads me to believe it is the amount of light.
Another possibility is how long the flowered. The batch in the picture flowered for 47 days (not quite 7 weeks). Would they have been more potent if I had let them go longer? I harvested because the hairs were mostly brown and I had read you should harvest when they were 50-60% brown.
I'd appreciate opinions on how to make the next batch something David Allen Coe would sing about!
Thanks!
