How do I long term store bud in the freezer?

Ok, this year for the first time I gave my plants a little veg before putting them out in June. I got 2 Jilly beans, 2 Superbomb (alphakroniks remix of SQ), 1 Tsi Fly.

Because the longest day of the year hit on June 21 my plants got much bigger than I expected. Maybe not giant yields but more then I really want to have to take care of until I smoke it all. I was thinking about puting some of it aside for next year when I dont' get as much sun in the Dec-Feb.

Question is:
What exactly do I have to do after its all dry to store it for a long time? Should I cure it 2 weeks first then hwo do I get the air out of the jar and is it safe to long term store it?

What steps do I need to take to take the dry plant into long term storage without mold or too much loss of potency? +Rep for your help!

I'd store it in the freezer because I want to put it away for like 5 months from when it was dried and have it not mold on me
You can prevent mold by buying a hygrometer. That way you can keep it in a jar (in the dark) and monitor the RH burping as needed. I can't imagine that putting weed in the freezer is even a valid solution. I've put weed in there before and it usually gets frozen and then when you take it out it gets all soggy and black. Doesn't the weed you put in the freezer get all soggy and black when your drying it out?

Would it be a better idea for me to refridgerate it instead for long term storage. I live in Hawaii where humidity gets up to 90% and temps between 85-70.

Thanks for your help.

Yeah the fridge is where i would store it. If you freeze it, you are going to lose trics. They freeze, crack and fall off.

I store hops that are very similar in my fridge. They only harvest them once a year so anyone who makes beer has to store them for up to a year. They do this in the fridge, not the freezer.

I normally follow the Grocery Store rule when it comes to storing. "Store it How You Bought it". I have never bought frozen weed.

Now go take those tomatoes out of the fridge. You are ruining them.

I suppose you could possibly put those wonderful little silicon packets in your jars with your bud to absorb moisture (your gonna have to watch the RH to make sure it doesn't get to too dry), but the freezer idea seems like a bad one to me.

Thanks, I got 2 jars of blueberry gum which have been in the fridge in the low humidity tray for 2 1/2 weeks now.
