I cant figure out how to take the bottom of the can off I mean I got razors to cut threw the aluminum but that bottom part is really tuff to get threw and I already cut the shit outa myself is it cool to just cut off the top and do it that way?>

well, if you have a lot of cans, don't worry about conserving space near the bottom, just cut where it's easy.

yeah, if I were to do this, I'd cut both top and bottom off and just flatten it and bend it however I want.

1. Use can opener to cut off TOP of can
2. Use scissors to cut straight to the bottom of the the can
3. Use scissors to cut around bottom of can to remove it
4. Remove small portion of ring that used to be top of can to be used as a clip for the reflector (use electrical tape to secure it)
5. cut wings from top of can and place over bulb

Alternatively you could leave the bottom on and just cut the wings I think the bulb breathes better without the bottom of the can and 99% of a CFls light eminates from the side any way
