How am i supposed to plant my seeds? Because ive planted tons and it seems that only one has sprouted. So im probably doing something wrong.

I have a germinated seed with a 1/4" taproot and a cup full of loose dirt.

Tell me what i should do since im incapable of doing so myself.

Ive tried germinating and with the paper towel method, and it works just fine for me.

But the best luck I've had is just dropping the beans in a small hole, and lightly covering with about 2cm of airy top soil.

I had 30 NL seeds ordered from the same company, germinated half and just tossed half in the soil. With the seeds that were planted directly i had a 100% germination rate, while 3 of the paper towel seeds didn't sprout.

I'm not saying that it is Better to just plant the seeds, but for a first time grower manual germinating is just one more thing to worry about.

PS. use Tepid water

Im no pro but this is how i do it.

Make a 1/4 inch hole (I use the end of a pen), put the germed seed in root down, gently cover with soil do not compress the soil just fill the hole back up. Put it in a warm place, with light and water, ie. your grow tent, closet, room ect.

Dont fiddle round with it to check if its rooting or anything has happened under there. give it atleast a week before you go digging. Mine seem to take about 1 - 2 days before sprouting.

i must be in the same location as you pyro peach. im definateley in a country full of stupid ppl.

oh and to the thread starter. i just toss my seeds to be germinated in the center of a cup filled about half with soil and then put a little on top. doesnt really matter as long as the seed is completely surrounded and will stay that way even when you add water. then i make sure the soil around the seed is moist and stays pretty moist until i see the sprout pop. then i begin to let the soil dry a little before watering again. just like you would as your vegging and flowering.

I meant to say tepid, im just kinda off it today heh.

Ill fix that.
Im guess im off everyday, whats tepid mean?

I think the issue is watering. cause I do all the other stuff but i watered the soil down. which might have drowned it maybe. By thinking was that you can germinate by dropping the seeds in a glass of water and submerging them. So if you put it in the cup of soil and watered that it would be the same as kind of transplanting the seeds from the paper towels to the glass of water. Then as it drys it would sprout.

I did this thinking water is the food source for a seed. So thats how itll survive.

But tell me this if i take a germinated seed and put it in the soil and dont water it at all is there a possiblity of it dieing before it popped the surface.

One more thing is I have my lights on the 18/6, when there off tempuratures in the grow box drop to a cool temp(one were seeds wouldn't germ, not too cold though because my plant has been surviving quite well actually ill get a pic later and you guys can tell me what you think.)

Anyway to maintain a better temp ill have to throw the light on a 24/0, so would switching it up now hurt my other plant?

I planted my germinated seed sideways. because the tap root emerged at one end and curved toward the other end. So it was like a U shape and i didn't no which was better. So i went with sideways considering the fact that it doesn't matter which way you plant it at all.
