from what i have gathered, you typically add 1 tsp - 1tbsp (build up over time) of molasses to your water. i would keep a 2nd container for your fertilizer, and not add molasses to this. then just keep doing exactly what you're doing.

is fish fert. high in nitrogen? i heard during the first 2 weeks of flowering, the plants grow like crazy, so some people dont give it nitrogen for that period of time otherwise they may grow too big. if thats not a problem go with it.

what fert are you using for flowering?

i was just plannig on using mollases. should i use something more?

I use molasses this way and I use soil as my medium. After three weeks into the flowering stage, I mix 2 tablespoons of molasses for every gallon of water. I stop using molasses when I know it is close to harvest and then I begin pre harvest flushing for about 10 days.

Why wouldn't you continue the molasses till the end? Its organic.

This is my opinion. Molasses is an additive used for increasing the overall energy of the plant, mild fungicide, makes the plant utilize available nitrogen faster. The idea of flushing of the plant is to leech out nutrients particularly nitrogen which is the main cause of the powdery fertilizer feel when plants are not flushed properly. Lets say you use molasses all the way through knowing that your soil medium already has time released nitrogen in it and the molasses acts as a catalyst for the plant to use nitrogen efficiently. The end result would be nitrogen would still be available to the plant therefore strong possibility it may have that gritty fertilizer feel at harvest or worst yet smokes like fertilizer.

everyone talks about molasses giving bigger buds, but is it just a cosmetic thing? i mean, without extra THC, whats the point, unless it just allows you to pace out how much you smoke since the weed takes up more volume?
