How do my plants look? First Grow.

I'm pretty far along in flowering, if you go by when i switched to 12/12, they're 6 weeks flowering. Here are a few pics, I want to know how much longer they would need to go, and if they look fine. A few leaves have been burnt, and most of the leaves have kind of died off. These are small plants, 10inches, 17inches and 13inches, I wanted them to be that way, so therefore I only had about 7 nodes when I switched to 12/12. Its my first grow, and its a personal one so yield doesnt matter for me. I posted quite a bit of pix, I don't have a magnifying glass but I took pics and tried zooming in to see the trichomes, and they all look white, not clear, to me so I can't tell from that method... Oh yea I have a total of 3 plants.

I also noticed that the very tips of almost all my leaves are brown, what could this be??IMG_0618.jpg

You got a good few weeks to go yet.

Brown tips will be nute burn. Nothing to worry about unless whole leaves start to burn.

Not terrible for first time grower, but you have a lot to learn still my friend. Those plants stretched a bunch, they are lacking in the bud derpartment also. Im guessing mostly due to lack of lighting. Not that CFLs (or are those LEDs??) cant produce nice buds with decent yields because they can, ive used CFLs for a while now. You just dont have enough of them. How many total watts of CFLs are you using? What soil and nutes if any? Again im not hating by any means just trying to help you for future grows!

I'm using CFLs, I have 2 24watt and about 8 of the 13watt, not much but it seemed to be doing the trick for the most part. Also, they did all of that stretching during flowering. Since it was my first time I did everything that was lower in prices since its just bag seed, and I honestly didn't think I would make it this far lol, but I'm using Nature's Care its from Miracle Grow but its suppose to be all organic, i haven't had any problems with the soil, the nutrients i picked up were from Epsoma, with a 3-4-4 npk ratio. Most of my fan leaves have already died off, since they started flowering so early I only had about 5 nodes to begin with when they started flowering lol. But I'm definitely learning a lot as I go, and after this grow i'm going to invest a little more money in better things, since I made it this far with no problems in the actual growing process, other than the fact that they might not produce much yield.

this is my first time under lights growing in coco soil and vermiculite mix I'm just wondering why my leaves are discolored around edges I'm pretty sure it could be a magnesium deficiency just not sure I'm also using a 400w hps cooltube and a large 300w cfl dual spectrum to add a bit of blue spectrum what do you guys think ?? I also use all seasol products seasol heath treatment seasol powerfeed and seasol veggies extra fish emulsion

....so what about the original poster??? kinda jacked my thread lol
Haha you totally got thread jacked. Your girls don't look bad at all, should make some nice smoke. If they're ~6 weeks along in flower, I'd say you likely have a long term sativa on your hands, a good way to check readiness is the calyxes and the trichomes. Yours still have a ways to go, but in say 2 or 3 weeks get ahold of a 30x magnifying glass, and check the trichomes, you want the highest amount of milky trichomes, and fewest amber/clear. It's a balance, but generally around 75% milky trichomes is the ideal time to harvest.

Nice but just be careful with the purple stems.

You're plants look fine considering that their small but I'd attribute that to the weak cfl bulbs you show in the pics. That's about the extent of the budding density for now. Anyway u can get them in the sun? I raised this one with cfl's and got tired of the sparce thin buds & when I put her in the afternoon sun a few hrs a day it exploded. The cfl's just don't have the power to drive the initial budding. This was my first bag seed cfl plant after defoliation to expose the bud sights. Even removing that many fans the plant didn't flinch. BTW those plants look indica dominant like mine

I want to keep them inside, i don't have any privacy out there lol. i made them small due to the short veg period i think. i wanted them to be small since I don't have much space and equipment, i figured all 3 might add up to a whole plant lol. Most of my fan leaves have fallen off already, I think thats normal for flowering, at least thats what I have read (so I hope its true lol the buds still look fine). I just don't know how to tell when they're done.. some of the hairs are orange, but i cant tell on the trichomes they look white to me but i don't have a good microscope i just take a picture and zoom all the way in, but i can't see much, i do see clear and white but i don't know if the white is just due to the lack of zoom i get. Also, would they finish at the same time? I think my smallest one would finish first since its the littlest, it does have the most orange hairs.

btw, your plants look nice, maybe next time mine will get like that :)
