How do my Sour OG girls look? First time grower

:leaf:Hey RIU:leaf:

My title pretty much says it all. I'm 13 days in since transplanting these girls I purchased as clones.I'm curious how you all think they look right now? I've looked at charts but it's hard for me to diagnose. I'd rather an experienced veterans opinion, possibly several.

I'm also very curious about weather or not to fill my pots up with more soil, as you can see in the pictures below there is room left in the pots for more. What do you guys think? leave it as is, or add more soil?

Thanks,
Luffy the PK

Soil level looks fine to me. What doesn't is those burnt up leaf tips. Did you get the clones that way or is this a new development since transplanting? Also are you feeding them anything and what kinda soil is it?

I'm using Fox Farm Ocean Forrest potting soil. I appeared to have a possible nitrogen or magnesium def. a few days ago. The leaves were looking super light green. So I sprayed a small dose of Fox Farms Grow Big through a supplemental foliar feeding. It appeared to work. I actually think the tips are due to my 400 W MH Light. I had it at about 16-17" the first week. I've since moved it out to about 25-26" and the heat stress appears to be gone.

Edit: I wanted to add that when the burnt/light tips might be from the Nutes, I'm not canceling that one out. Either way what steps should I take from here?

Aye as small as those little suckers are they aren't going to need anything but water for several weeks. You have to let the clones settle into their new homes and spread their roots around a bit. FFOF is known to run a little hot on the nutrient side so make sure and don't add any fire to the flames.

Just try to maintain a preferable temperature in there and don't water them till the pots feel pretty light. You want to establish a nice set of roots down there and overwatering is the worse thing you can do for root development.

Edit: Forgot to mention I have a small 2ft mother in FFOF right now who has been in a 3 gallon smart pot for over a month on just plain water. Looks spectacular still. The soil will provide everything the plant needs for a while.

Just my 2¢, but the light shouldn't have been the problem if it's a 400w metal halide at that distance. I used to keep mine like 6-8" above the tops, and never had any problems. I'd say you just started feeding too early.

Also, remember the new growth/tops will have a lighter green color, almost yellow in the newest growth. It takes a while (not long, but long enough) for the new growth to develop chloroplasts and get it's nice green tan from the light. It can almost look like a deficiency, that might've been what threw you off.
