How do steralize coco infested with pests

I have spider mites and thripes from this rubbish after putting two tiny pots of it in my grow. Pissed as hell.

How would i sterilize the rest of it. I was thinking h202 but apparently that doesn't do anything to the eggs.
Maybe the oven?

Edit: also what's a good cheap solution for the pests that are on the plants. It's not bad at the moment.
I sprayed with candian xpress spray safe which was a complete rip off.

Azamax my friend, I try and utilise shit thats a close to nature or natural as possible and that shit works I dont bullshit tryn sell u a product I paid 23.00 $ here in cali for 4 oz bott. Use around 2-3 times soil drench it every other feeding w ur normal schedule and spray the plants once...in a week or so they will be gone

So will the oven kill the eggs? I've just spent like $50 on pesticides so i want to know for sure if i can sterilize what i have before buying different coco. Bagged stuff is $26.

Should kill everything, the good and the bad. Look up sterilizing soil. Cooking potting soil in the oven has been done for yrs. Basically you cook moist soil in the oven at a low temp (220-250) until the middle of the soil (like checking a roast) reaches a temp in the range of 180-200. Then continue to cook for at least 30mins keeping the soil in that 180-200 range. Cheap, fairly easy and you're not using pesticides. You'll need to figure the farenheit to celcius conversion. Good luck!

I take a 4 quart glass bowl and moisten the coco then stick it in a old microwave for 5 min. I do this with all my recycled coco.
