How do these look First grow...

Well i am in to my first grow started out different then i thought it would be oh well...


I will try to list everything i am using and then post pics..

Lighting i am running Three 26 watt cfl's two of them are 6000k and one is 2500k on 18/6 for now... Lights are kept about an inch or two from the top of the plant.. I will be adding more 6000k shortly when i get to the store to get more..

Soil is a mix of Potting soil, top soil and Peat moss. It is what i had laying around so it got used.. I have it in around a 3 gallon Pot i would think it is..

No nutes yet,But I was wondering if i could use the stuff i clean out of my fish tank as feed? It is a long drive to any good stores so i dont get to them to often..

One plant is a clone that just happen to fall in my lap i transplanted it last night in to the bigger pot. The other one is a Bag seed i have no clue on what it is of if it is even gonna amount to anything..

The bigger one has Purple stems coming up to the leaves from what i have read that is normal on some plants and not to worry about it.. Leaves and everything else look good and Normal.

I don't know if your fishtank idea will work, but they certainly look nutrient-starved.

I'm just a newb to indoor growing, but from what I've seen here so far, appears to be Nitrogen you're lacking (at minimum).

Get some good cheap water solluable nutes. If you really can't, go get some guano, or some chicken shit, get a gallon container put a fishtank bubbler in the container fill it with water put some shit in it let it go for 24 hours and water your, plants. That'll suffice for veg. Good luck

Will composted cow shit work to make a tea from? I think my Bro has some of that i can get from him..

I was always told that the dirt had enough feed in it to get by for a couple weeks that is why i dont have any Nute as of yet.. Plus it is over an hours drive to any stores that would carry Nutes this time of year..

Lol we still have around 2 1/2 feet of snow on the ground around me so most places haven't stuck there garden supply's out yet

Also the plant may have gotten a lil cooler then it should have in the Dark time.. I am picking up a temp and humidity checker here as soon as i get to a store also.. I notice the purple is only on top of the leaf stems then Main Stalk looks good with no purple on it and the leaves have no purple on them.

plants still look green enough ,dont think n starved yet but definately lack of light.

How much light should i have on it.. Right now i have 52 watts on just the bigger plant with a 26 watt over top of the seedling.. I am all out of 6000k lights but i do have some more 2500k lights that i maybe able to rig up.. I will getting to the store this weekend to get some more 6000k or maybe 5000k lights..

I have them in a y splitter and the light is right in the middle of them about an 1 or 2 inches away from the leaves.. The lights are in a homemade hood that has Mylar covering it.

Should i be running 24/0 light or is 18/6 enough?

I was planing on using auto seeds so i did alot of reading on them

IMO looks like you need more light dude

So should i bump the light to 24/0? or just get more bulbs on it? Will be getting a couple bulbs this weekend i am sure..

Right now i have two 26 true watt lights over top of the bigger plant.. One is 6000k and the other is 2500k And i also have another 26 watt over the seeding.

Yep, more light and start feeding some high N nutes.
