How do you deal with the over achiever?

I'm just doing my first grow with some bag seed while I set up my op and get more serious with control and conditions.

However, I have one girl that is just out performing the rest by large margins. If I move the light up 2 inches, then within 2 days she'll be up hugging on the light while the others are just hanging back doing their thing. Should I get this one plant her own light or wait for the others to catch up by putting risers under their potters to bring them closer to the light?

Probably a matter of opinion, but I would raise the other girls up and/or LST the overachiever

yeah alot of people will put bricks or books or something under the pots to keep an even canopy...its easier than lsting but not as beneficial or effective

have a tent for seeds. Find short phenos all the time. I just put two (animal cookies x unknown) smaller plants on home depot buckets they were a good 16" shorter and they never stretched much during flower. I use a 400w hps 2x 150w for supplement. I had they 150directly over it and lowered to they're height but was seeing some heat stress on the taller plants. So I raised all lights to 48" and put the runts on buckets. I have 2purple dream by King klone 1 skunk cross and 2 animal cookies. I lost alot of plants in the beginning due to having 7 animal cookies seed be hermies from the start. Based probaly seeded itself. Never again will I fill empty space with random seeds.

I use risers and try to keep the tops near the same height to get the most light.

Don't want to bend this one over. So I Moved it to the corner of tent, put a small 150w hps over her and rotate now daily so the whole plant gets light from the 400w. I also brought the two animal cookie plants up to canopy level , they never pushed past 20" while the others are all over 32" the giant is at 39"

Keep in mind that the two animal cookies and the Randy, were both grown on 12/12 cycles from seed , while the 2 Purple Dream were allowed to veg for 2 weeks of emergence from medium. Just shows how didivers the cannabis population is.
