How Do You Grow a Plant with scrog screen?

ok i understand that you have a net that the crop grows under to keep height down and for light to reach other parts of the canopy etc etc.
but what i dont understand is

when the plant has grown in between and over the net. how do u feed the plant?
like...half the plant is in the net. and half is below... at this point
how would u take each pot out.. to feed them when there stuck on the scrog net ?
any feedback would help
i want to try this on my next grow

ive been wondering this as well. Since you can't take out the pot to drain it i figure the pot could be in some sort of bucket or plastic under the bed storage container type thing... then it could drain in that i suppose? just a guess

this is why scrog is a little hard to do when it comes to watering. to answer your question i am pretty sure everyone that scrog's leaves the plants where they are to water.

well, it wouldn't be so hard to water them jason. do you take your plants out everytime when watering them? moving plants during flowering can stress them i guess :D how can you move a plant with very heavy colas that are tied to something in the grow room because of their weight ??

ive always tied my plant down to its own pot so i could just remove the pot from the room... VERY CAREFULLY because those colas DO sway lol

i m confused.basically the scrog method involves growinjg large plants and throwing a net over the plant. The plant will grow through thoe net and is immediately supported by the net. you take the branches and distribute them among the space evwenly so almost like growing smaller clones they will fill in the canopy except it just one plant. U just water the plant like normal you can trim the plants lower branches if they get unmanageble or get in the way.

Once the plants are under the scrog you are not moving the plants. The scrog or screen is to support the buds. It holds them in place so they dont fall from the weight of the buds. In stead of stakeing the buds up, the scrog holds the buds.

youii basically veg yourii plants under a screen and munipulate them as u please while vegging when your satisfied with how they look you flower and the point iis the collie flowers grow thru the screen and they support the "massive" flowers ive seen with the method iim thinking about giving it a shot...theres a couple of diff. ways to do it tho(dome,flat screen,etc.) so look into iit ii dont know how to link sooo...easy skankin

what i did was make a table out of plywood and cut out the diameter of the pot so they fit into a hole and i then put a bowl under the table so i can catch the water without taking the plants out.

You don't have to move the plant to feed it. Place the screen 10-12" above the soil. Should give you enough room to play underneath the skirt (:

This is how I did it

I just made a square out of wood, and then used wire line to make a grid. When the plant tries to grow up over the grid, tuck it down against one of the supports. The wooden frame + grid can even rest on top of the plants (as long as it doesn't break the plants)

Sry, I forgot to mention for feeding, I got home depot 1/4 inch tubing and pressure compensated drippers (the drippers are less than $1 each, and the tubing is 50 ft for about $5), and feed through that. I do additive feedings by hand with a soda bottle that I drilled holes into (to squirt into the pots)

You don't need anything that sophisticated to feed the plants, just trim the bottom so u have lots of space to work on the bottom. There is no point to keeping all that plant matter because it just turns into annoying popcorn buds anyways, especially if your scrog screen is solid. Barely any light should be reaching past the canopy layer if your scrog has the right density and training.
