How do you harvest in the dark, with all the stakes/nets/cable ties??

Rosenthal isn't funded by NASA nor does he work for any University, even if his books are part of a curriculum

Terpenes are produced in both light and dark, the difference being that terpenes volitilize in light, so the highest percentage of terpenes are found after a dark period, There is plenty of scientific evidence for this, however, terpenes will continue to volatilize as the plant cures.. Harvesting in the dak will not give you a higher percentage of THC than harvesting in the light. As far as tranlocation of sugars and starches in the dark, Bro-science. Harvest after a dark period for max terpenes, a few minutes of light while you harvest will have a negligible effect.

Lots of “ internet lore “ gets twisted. Up is down , pee or poop … etc.

I pulled plants during first light cycle hour ( no issues ) and in a powered off ( dark ) tent - which by the way i leave plants in there for days sometimes because it allows me to chop anytime i feel like dealing with “ trim jail “.

I give them a PRE TRIM then shove them into solitary confinement ( dark tent ) to begin drying IN POT.
Then when i get home or after a weekend somewhere - i can finish them up. They aint going nowhere in the dark tent plus with my extraction fan going and passive inlet while in dark - plant dries slowly and i can check when to finish the harvest. Even hang a mesh drying rack and cut buds go back into dark tent .

I always just accepted this...nope, is bunk-ish

Per the Googles plants absorb about 10% of green light. So I guess it does work to some extent, but not like weed places would lead one to believe.

Still don't think you will get a benefit cutting plants down in the dark.

I wouldn't worry about the time of day you harvest until literally everything else is damn near perfect. Imo, there's nothing you can do at the final moment of a plants life to make it meaningfully better.

You could hook up a 3 stage vacuum pump and suck the juice right out of the branches before you dry them :eek:

They use vacuum to suck the sap out of baby sugar maples, so why wouldn't it work?

I had this in my tent for 2 runs. Never had a problem. I also use a green flashlight for working in the dark during emergencies. I've never had a problem from that either.

To get proper night vision, run around your plants three times clockvise, then stab a poodle in heart and masage his blood in your eyes. Ready for harvest.

The Fermented Plant Juice people collect their plant material prior to sunrise. While the plants are in respiration mode and not in photosynthetic mode. I use the same logic when harvesting.
