How do you properly clean and maintain a bong for the best flavor and smoking experience?

Number one tip, buy a bong that's easy to clean ! (KISS)

With an easy to clean bong, a little salt and alcohol will clean the bong in under a minute. It will look brand new.

People don't realize how unhealthy it is to use a dirty bong to smoke. When you have a complicated bong, you'll spend a lot more time cleaning OR you'll go days without cleaning which is a HUGE no no... Smoking a simple
clean bong is a lot healthier than smoking from a complicated dirty bong.

A bong like this is perfect... pic taken right after using and cleaning in under a minute, it looks like this every time I use it.

Note: I use rubber stoppers to plug the top and bottom of the bong, this allows me to shake the salt and alcohol without making a mess. They also sell glass stoppers...

Note 2: If your wondering what the bowl is, its a Grav Labs 14mm helix. Its a one hitter and its perfect to smoke without smoke escaping. You get one good hit that clears the entire bowl. I don't know how you guys smoke out of those salad bowls you put on your bongs !

Cleaning it takes hardly any time at all—just some salt and alcohol, and I’m good to go in under a minute. Honestly, I used to procrastinate cleaning my old, complicated bong, and I really could taste the difference when I finally did. It’s crazy how quickly residue builds up! I also love your tip about using rubber stoppers.

I’m going to give that a try next time—I usually end up with a mess! The Grav Labs bowl sounds interesting, too. I’m still figuring out which bowl works best for me, but I’ll keep that in mind! If anyone’s interested, I found some great tips on maintenance at smokeday.com. I’m excited to learn and share more about our favorite bongs and water pipes.
