*Newb* On the farm I live on, we used to have a group of guys that would farm and cut alfalfa in our back fields and then bale it to feed to our horses. One of them set aside small portions on the side of the field for growing weed.
Those guys are long gone now, and after returning from overseas, I was checking around and having a look. But what is the discerning difference between ditch weed and the good stuff. I mean, obviously some of the plants out there are no good when they're wilting and only have three points on the leaves. But can ditch weed have 9 points or even 11? How do I tell which stuff out in my field is the good stuff and which is shitty?
I figured this would have already been asked somewhere, but after a ton of looking, I haven't been able to find a direct answer to my questions, so forgive me if I've overlooked it somewhere.
