I chopped the big tall one because it hermi'd. Not sure what I'll do with it, I'll probably turn it into oil.
But ya the two survivors have a couple of weeks to go(by my calender on the 22nd they will be eight weeks) but I think I might just give them the extra week.

Glad this is my last run with Reg seed. Fem seed or clones from here on in.

sorry to hear about the hermie issues, but don't be surprised if you have trouble with fem seeds all, make sure to pick a super stable strain, I have heard many issues with fem seeds without perfect environment etc.

Ya the hermi thing will always be an issue. My choice for going fem or clone only is to eliminate wastage. I started this grow with six reg seed, 3 male and 1 hermi 2 survivors. Not good at all. The big one I just chopped will probably yield 4oz dried(still drying)so that would mean I'm looking at around 3 oz a plant with the other two. So I get only 6 oz for a 4 month grow that pisses me off when if I had six in there I would have had 18-24 oz.
But all is good. I smoked a sampler from the hermi(.5 between me and my brother)and we stared at the ceiling for an hour lol. It's good.
P.S I will be turning the hermi into oil so I won't be adding it's weight to my final tally.

Sorry to hear popcorn, but that's how growing goes I guess. I wish I had space to grow out 12-15 plants at a time but just not possible. I'm more in it for the enjoyment of growing, I don't really smoke that much so low yields to start won't concern me overly. Of course you want higher yields and less issues , clones will help with that. I've got gsc on order from attitude but I heard people have been germing 6 seeds and getting like 5 hermies, it's a little ridiculous, I'm going to try 1 at a time with that strain while using clones of fem plant, I don't want to loose a whole 4 months to 6 hermies. Good luck with your yields, 1-2 oz month definitely isn't great yield, but if your growing clones and gems in future that should improve, I guess you could always just cure it longer and use as your primo smoke while you bought some day bud if you need more in the meantime

I hope my hydro can pull 200-350 grams, and my outdoor can pull 300-400. But I'm not going to count on it till it's drying out, my outdoor grow could turn out to be all male, who knows.

This is my first attempt at an organic grow and I'd say it's going pretty well. This is exactly three weeks since transplanting sprouted seeds.
Medium: 1/3 ProMix, 1/3 perlite, 1/3 worm castings. NO nutes, only pH'd water. What say you?

been busy over the holidayz with family and took time off work to be with them, so wasn't online much.
then after christmas ive been working allot of 12 hr dayz to make up for time off..lol

i was also in some weird "mode"... where everything was in text?... and it was hard for me to follow threads, so just had to wait for my fricken computer to stop acting up so i could reply to post, and actually read them...idk like i said it was weird??? lmao.

400w XTrasun switchable ballast, does MH and HPS. The 400w MH is for veg, the HPS for flower, with a two bar, 4' T8 fluorescent down each side (total of two), 4' x 2' fixtures for drop ceiling. I made a growing tub out of a mortar mixing tub from a home improvement store. I drilled a hole in the middle and put a fitting with a gasket on it for a hose and put a shutoff valve on it, this is for drainage and flushing. I have a finished basement and the floor drain is in the basement kitchen with a porcelain tile floor. I just attach a long hose and run it to the floor drain, really convenient. Since it's in a basement, heat isn't a problem. I just close the vent in the winter and open it in the summer for AC. This is all in about a 2' x 4' closet with bright white walls.

PS> I don't use a hood. I left the closet rod in place and I just dangle the light over it and move it up and down as needed.

I have been a soil grower and im on my first hydro grow DWC and I am growing four from seed and the more I think about it im gonna be pissed if all of them are males . That is a lot of work and effort as well as money invested to just pull em and toss em. I believe that since I have commited to grow for a long time I should invest in a mother and clones as well as equipt. just as any serious grower should. I don't like ordering seeds mostly cus of bad experiences with seed bank shipments hundreds of dollars worth of seeds lost and never compensated for so ordering is out of the question. But growing hydro it is almost a must to pre-sex plants or efficiency is lost

yes mothers are the way to go in the long run ;) i couldn't agree more! :D

I think they're doing fine. One suggestion though, a 5g bucket if given enough veg time, will consume that entire tent when flowering. So, you might end up being a little pressed for room, but what do I know.
