How does an external potentiometer work on the Mean Well XLG and HLG drivers?

On an AB driver - If you set the underside potentiometer to say 75% and hooked up the dimming leads to an external potentiometer - if the external potentiometer is turned up all the way is that 75% power or does it override the underside one and set it to 100%? Is this the same for the HLG drivers?

The XLG drivers only have one underside pot labelled "Io adjust" to adjust the current. The HLG drivers have "Vo" adjust and "Io" adjust pots to adjust current and voltage respectively. I'm assuming the external pot affects the current output for both models.

I would think the external pot would be whatever % the adjusted driver has been set to. I don't see how the pot could overide the driver, at least with the light I have.

That's a real nice looking unit.

That's my guess as well. I suppose if you wanted to find out for sure you could pry off the little rubber boots that cover the potentiometers and see if adjusting them affects the brightness. Note where how they're set initially so you could restore them after checking.

I'm not going to ask you to go through the hassle though. I'm sure someone here knows.
