How does everybody water while on vacation?

Hey guys gotta another question how many inches should i leave my lights from my plants while im gone for 5-6 days? Im workin with 400hps cooltube

Damn man if it will keep your babies safe do it...But im leaving like this sunday lol and i just got my pump and timer at the grow store 2 days ago, i phd the water to 6.5 and fed em with my system and it did pretty good lol but now i just want to make sure the timer will come on when i want it to!!! lol i will water them really good when i leave (sunday) then i want them to get watered about the middle of the week which will be (wensday)..And hopefully that will be good enough until i come back (saturday)...

There are plenty of "days off" growing, just not a lot of vacations. I check my plants every other day, sometimes I'll even go 2 days with out checking on them. That means I have every other day off and some times 2 days in a row.

Check out global buckets...using atmospheric pressure and a simple siphon you can defintiely rig up a res for when you're gone and let the the self-watering container+reservoir feed do all the work while you're gone...depending on your space limitations and willingness to set up a gian reservoir you can theoretically rig up a system that would allow you to let some plants go for a month, so long as you were cool with a wild forest when you got back

Nice... That's the same shit i got lol i got my pump in my res and got the timer set, I got one of those apollo timers and i already tested and i got a good feeling that il be alright atleast i hope lol! Il be gone about 5-6 days and will have the lights higher than usual so they don't get burned!!!

This is my feelings on watering while on vacation. Unless you run a de-criminilized med grow with a licence on the wall. In other words if you risk a state prison term, vacation and growing weed is about the most foolish plan you can consider. Oh ya,you got people to take care of your shit. Are you going to really risk going to prison on the hope this person keeps there mouth shut? I'm not! Ive learned the best way to stay outa jail is to tell no-one you grow.This is really the only insurance against jail. Reason #2 lots of folks grow in rentals, this group of people should never leave there grow, don't risk 20 years on the you "think" your landlord wouldn't take the opertunity for a little snooping around his property. Big reason #3. Any, and believe me on this, goddam thing can happen when mixing 1000's of watts of lights,fans,and a mirad of electrical equipment with water. Ya Ya you got smoke detectors,and alarms they do little good when there is no one there to hear them, and deal with the fire. The dope detective and fire marshal at the remnants of your burnt out grow room is a bad thing, and your not going to talk your way out of anything. So I guess you got to decide is that week jet skiing really going to be worth the cost if the " what if comes around."
