Day before yesterday we hardly had snow left,, then bam , 20+ inches and high winds.. we're getting freezing rain at the moment..
No.. they were setting buds .. they'll still produce some cherry's, just not alot of them. The farmers use heaters in the fields to try to keep the buds from freezing off, but it's pointless in this weather..did the cherry bloom yet?all apples over here but they don't bloom till mid may

The peas and corn are growing slow as hell. Cucumber, melons and squash are not growing at all.you are right about the cool/cold weather this year. very unusual.
My peppers in pots are doing alright. The ones in cups are hurting though. I may go ahead and put them in the ground, just so the roots can spread out. I have a big area around an oak that I took out of production this year. I may put them around the edges of that area.my potatoes and brussels sprouts are doing well, albeit the potato leaves were seriously hurt by 2 late frosts.
everything is real slow.... banana pepper plant may not make it.
