How early can I harvest?

My plants are over crowded and are a foot above my cover. I have tied down as much as I can. I need to do something. I have been told its aprox. 5 weeks at the earliest to be able to harvest. My trichomes are turning milky. They preflowered 3-4 weeks ago. And have been flowering good for 2 weeks now. I know that weeks are not as important as the color of the trichomes. So my Question is: if the trichomes are mostly milky and some still clear will it get me high? Do you have actual nuggets yet and not just hairs? And speaking of hairs are they red and curled in the bud?? All important factors!

I chop when the trichomes are about a third amber. OK, taste is totally up to your preferences, but I think it´s a couple of weeks yet at least.

Yea you will for sure be able to get high off your plants, but not the coach lock that letting them mature with about a third amber trichs would get ya..............

some hairs are dark red, some nuggets are starting, So I figure at least one more week. Then I think I'll just chop out the top half. And let them finish. Pop corn nugs are better than none I guess. If someone sees them and rips me off I'll have none. They are being exposed.

Yea I mean I could do tht to but if you made it this far without ant one seeing than Im sure you're fine to go to the end they wont grow a whole lot more they've slowed down now. Good nuggets are better than alright nuggets and it seems everyone has the alright nugs so Im makin bomb nugz!

yea prop right. I am too paranoid for my own good. I would love to see them finish. but 2 of them are 9 foot now. they just wave at me and I think they might be waving at others also LOL.

put stakes in the ground around it and tie it dwn with ropes i bent mine down earlie in veg so the stalkes never reached their full height they are s shaped now like a snake lol

yeah man if there is no way around it then cut them like 3'' below ur cover. and you'll get some premature smoke from the kohla, but the rest of the plant will still grow some nice big fat buds!

Still only last week in August - I am reckoning on mine taking another 5 weeks - haven´t even thought of looking at the trichomes yet.

Let them go as long as posible.Maybe next week will turn into the next week and so on.Next thing you know,you have some nice juicey buds! You've come this far,no sense in bailing out now.:mrgreen:

you are so right. I am just fricken about as paranoid as I have ever been. Thanks Howzer and everyone. You ppl are so helpful. Maybe I can hang. Kinda like to see main colas rippen good.
