My plant is in the beginning stages. Is has a total of six leaves (2 cotyledons, the next set of 2 leaves, and the 5th and sixth leaves are just beginning) Is it too early for the cotyledons to curl down?

Thanx but what exactly are the true leaves? are those the next 2 that form after the cotyledons?

yes, the true leaves are the actual cannabis leaves, right after the cotyledons. The cotyledons help nurture the plant through germination, and carry the genetic code of the plant. Its a natural process and will happen whenever the sprout is ready to release them.

My 2 largest plants are 3 and 4 inches tall, and getting a bit bushy now... and they both still have those leaves.

I suppose it could vary by strain..

exactly, when i grew my first crop from bag seed way back when, i had a couple that kept them through almost till harvest, but most dry and die after a few weeks.
