though i am considered a new grower i know just enough to get me by....

everyday is no surprise to me. i wake up to see the same questions always being asked. answers are just a search away if ya use the search engine.
but no they still decide to ask away anyways.
well todays subject that keeps getting to me is SPIDER MITES! so you wonder why you keep getting spider mites huh. its fairly simple to avoid does unwanted minions.
follow these steps and youll never ever see them again. i know i dont :)

#1 avid (online)
#2 backpack sprayer ( hydroponic store/online
#3 disposable suit (99 cent store)
#4 surgical gloves ( walgreens)
#5 wash rags.

avid hands down the best. speaks for itself. not organic but where not gonna be using it on our plants today.
for every gallon i put 15 drops.

a must have in every garden..
IMG_1991.JPG
will need some of these when handling avid

very useful trust me

last our wash rags..

before we begin remove your plants from your grow room/closet/tent whatever..
ok add the desired gallons to your back pack.
slap your gloves on and add 15 drops of avid.
suit yourself up with the disposable suit before entering your grow space.ones inside your grow room turn off all your equipment. begin to spray every corner every side wall and every inch of your equipment and begin to use your wash rags.. takes about 20-30 minutes depending on your grow space. once you do that before you exit your room give a double take. if you feel like you didnt do a good enough job do it again.
once you finish turn your equipment on and close your door and throw away the disposable suit....
next step:
dont ever water your plants inside your grow and let the runoff just evaporate. many things may go wrong such as pm problems and of course your best friends yes the mites. they love a dirty room. best advise i can give is DONT BE LAZY. when it comes to watering day make a space in the backyard, restroom tub,etc etc water your plants and let them sit for a bit. i give them 30 min outside before taking them back in the flower room.
IMPORTANT:once your done and theres no run off BEFORE taking them inside suit yourself up with a NEW disposable suit and inspect every single one 1 by 1. leaf by leaf and always take one in at a time. that way you secure yourself and are aware of whats going on. if you spot a plant infected take care of the problem. i dont suggest using avid during flower.

so there you have it. a very simple and easy way to get rid of spider mites. if your in veg you can use avid though i must say its not organic.
i do this every watering day. so if your tired of seeing them spider mites dont be LAZY clean your room out every watering. its to your advantage and helps keep them headaches away..KEEP YOUR ROOM CLEAN PEACE.................

amen! but I'm sorry, mites will find a way in it seems, your systemic poison is good for how long? And when is it applied?
I thought your spelling was great btw.
If your room is sealed you're def gonna have a better chance. with mites as with most pests from time to time all you can ask for is extreme control.

It's not systemic and actually has a fairly rapid breakdown on the surface of vegetation. Not that I'm making any recommendation for Avid.

"Plants do not absorb abamectin from the soil (6). Abamectin is subject to rapid degradation when present as a thin film, as on treated leaf surfaces. Under laboratory conditions and in the presence of light, its half-life as a thin film was 4 to 6 hours (6)." http://pmep.cce.cornell.edu/profiles/extoxnet/24d-captan/abamectin-ext.html

I use a 10% bleach solution to clean room after every grow. But mighty wash every inch before I move plants in. And treat the plants with it monthly. Best way to kill them is use the safest preventive and stay ahead of it.

thank you I didn't know this, so pyganic (which is a pyrethrin) would probably be just as affective ? or perhaps one of the products home depot sells for a lot cheaper with that ingredient in it?

excellent. I'm trying pyganic atm , I went in, picked up what I thought was a 70 dollar bottle of ec 1.4 but it was ec 5 and cost me 180 bux. guess it should work.

Best way to kill them is use the safest preventive and stay ahead of it <------- couldnt agree more. my personal opinion, clean your room out every watering it only takes about 30 min. my rooms clean either way but i guess you can say i made it into a hobby. 30 min of cleaning or 3 months of headaches you be the judge :)

I never have much luck with pyrethroids. Let go three whole-house foggers in a 4x4x8' tent of cypermethrin (a pyrethroid) and it had zero effect. That was after pyrethrin and azadirachtin sprays. We have pretty resilient spider mites round here though.

warlock, why not poison fuck out of the room if it's empty? I'm spraying my room with a heavy bleach and maybe a touch of fungicide (but the shit I have is pretty strong/toxic) with a paint sprayer, I'm gonna cover every inch. I'd do the mighty wash like that but don't want to use a paint sprayer that's had paint/bleach/fungicide sprayed thru it, other than that coverage with the thing would be great. I use an atomist for the mighty wash, it's a leaf turning bitch, harsh bad.

Testify bro man! Ummm....what's a dab?
imo best method of getting the full effect of your plants and you get very and i mean very medicated. but if you do go out and purchase some make sure its extracted via co2. if not vector is your best friend and please do it right and have plenty of ventilation and no smoking while your doing it

just bought a tamisium today, I MAY use N-butane but I hear it's costly.
