How far will RO water travel

So I just got a RO system from a friend and I learned just how slow this process is. My grow room is in a loft and all water is down stairs. I'm wanting to put a big res up there and hook up my ro downstairs under the sink but I'd be running the line 30-40 feet. It's already just coming out as drops will it still do this 40 feet away with a float valve ?

You may need pump to boost the pressure of the reverse osmosis unit. I had to do that when I had a well and pressure was low. How big is your system? Small ones tend to just drip to and produce 2 gallons every hour.

Ya it's about 50 gpd. I have pressure from my line. That will be short to the ro but the water line out just drips. Will that still push through 30 ish feet of line ?

I run mine about 25 ft with nothing to boost it up from the sink along the ceiling to my 55 gal Rez and it's only reading 50psi at my filter.

Most ROs use a standard filter housing size. Often u can replace the 50 gpd with a higher flow membrane. Booster pumps are also great, but u shoudnt have a problem with the length. If u are worried just put the RO upstairs and run a water line from the sink to it and a drain line back to the drain.
