How high do you hang your 315’s?

Man-o-man! Those girls are not going to be light deprived one little bit!
I don't use 315s but have used 400W HPS for decades and will have them as close as a foot with lots of air circulation and even closer if riding on my light rail. The output is very similar but the number of lights you have going is going to intensify the light a lot so I'd think 18" would be plenty close enough. I'd be watching for light bleaching even at 18".
At 25¢/kwh for power here I'd hate to be paying that power bill.

Thanks dude I am in 7 gals with Sunshine #4.
Nutes are Kind. I have used a bunch of others over the years but for the cost I like them.
I actually pulled down 1000’s and replaced them with these. I have a grow journal going that has been following since I transplanted

At least for me, I pulled down 1000’s and have been running them for years. My temps are on the low side even with 15 in the room.

actually considering you used to use 1000's the lights will be probably closer than before. I didnt see you went from 1k's to 315s

Great set-up. Those look like they're at an ideal height. When I get closer than 24in with the CMH, I get bleached tops

24 inches seems to be the sweet spot...18 inches was causing problems for me.

I do like 18", but you have a ton of them, so that might be too close.

Getting the lights closer is not an advantage when you have multiple lights as you do. With the lights up high your lighting a plant with multiple lights and you get better results in your room with the lights up high. Better penetration since light is coming from different directions. The overlapping cones of light is ideal.
