not trying to fuel fire.. but i have a couple buddies that cry about the same shit and my question always was... if oil rigging is such great money... why is it that you guys dont ever have any money when you get home? my buddys go off to ends of the earth like yourself and piss away all there money while they are there. whats the point of being miserable if your going to come home empty handed? id rather flip burgers and live where you want to live.. sounds like in the end youll have the same amount of money anyways?

well i made up my mind. i just paid $230 for a tranny flush/oil change (yes, expensive, i know)
then i'll be on my way, making the 3 day, 2,000 mile drive baaack to NH. i've got $550 left...that's $400 for gas and $150 for food/drink
then once I get home, I'll have a check arriving in the mail for $800 or so
and I plan on being in NH through the middle/end of january (thanksgiving, xmas, new years and my bday at home)
then i'll be back in ND when I KNOW i can pass any drug test. But the first week or 2 I'm home i'm buying a quarter and smoking it to my face
good riddance oil field. I'll be back

the 20 grand was made LAST winter Nov till May. The jobs I had ranged from $2,400 a week to $3,200...take home/after taxes. I rarely find anybody who makes as much as I do.
I lived in a tent because it's WILLISTON. There is NOWHERE to live/stay. Fucking fools
My dad is the CTO of Stanley/Black & Decker. Meaning he's a multi millionaire maaaany times over, I don't think it'd hurt him to lend me a few hundred bucks till I'm back on a rig...and no i would't feel shamed or guilty for borrowing a few hundred bucks
