you could always uppot them one more time into a 10 or 15 gallon after they stretch. That way you can get away with watering 1 time per week.

I was just talking to my guy at the hydro shop about going to coco, he loves it. I think between what he said and this it sold me on it. Thanks for the info ledcflgrow.

Good growing buddy sounds like you have your system down I'm just getting used to adding CalMag and reading my plans properly other than that I love Coco i have even reused it with great success and no issues which saves me money in the long run

Awesome information! I've watched a lot of your videos on YouTube, love the friendly information. The one thing I'm a bit curious about is if you mix your Coco with Perlite (or something else?) I noticed you mentioned an experiment in Hempy buckets, but normally do you use perlite to lighten your Coco?

EDIT: Also you say you only need CalMag with RO water? I was under the assumption that Coco lacked Calcium and Magnesium that are naturally present in the -soil- and that it has nothing to do with the water you use? Although I get that a good well would produce some natural good stuff, etc. For the record I have crappy city water so I'll have to get an RO system anyway, just curious.

I use RO water because it stays more PH stable, doesn't rise or drip in PH as quickly as well or tap water. However, I finished some Sour Diesels that I used well water for. I still use 1mL of calmag plus per gallons of water. I wouldn't do that if I were growing in soil.

Coco seems to need added calmag. It has something to do with it leaching? I forget the science behind it. I think too much phosphorus or something in coco.

All I know is that I have tried a grow with not using Calmag plus and the plants started to suffer after only about two weeks. If I use calmag plus, only 1mL per gallon, and all goes well. Be sure to use a balanced nutrient like Flora Nova Bloom, though.

Autopots: It is a new system I am using with coco. Absolutely awesome so far. It auto feeds for you, using gravity. No electronics, no pumps, etc. Look at how much the autoflowers grew in such a short time.

I use 5 gallons buckets and 2x4 flood tray to catch the run off... How much water should I feed each bucket? I've been filling up 4 gallons and giving each pot 1 gallon each... ph 6.0 and around 550 -600ppm also using flora series... great stuff !! ... also just a tip go to fred meyer pharmacy and ask for free measuring spoons and drippers they work great for mixing nutes and Ph liquids ( BEST OF ALL THEY ARE FREE )

I started feeding them three teaspons after autos were five days old. Then they really exploded in growth.
