How I roll a joint!!! The half assed approach to technique!!!

Hey everyone,

I'm postings this thread because I hope it can help other people that can't roll a freehand joint...I've never been able to roll a decent freehand joint...my joints look like the ending of a Jason movie...hacked and slashed to death. I hope everyone enjoys this thread I don't want any bashing or topic changes...I'd really like it if some of you would try this method and post your joints. If you are a freehand joint master I'd like to see those too. Enjoy

What you'll need...
1. Rolling paper I used 1 1/4
2. Blue mystic marijuana or similar
3. A round pencil
4. A lighter this serve a dual purpose at the end...lol
5. A small peace of paper in a v shape if you don't like sticky fingers
6. 2-5 minutes of you're time
7. One large lazy cat

Ok what to do...form a tube on the pencil make sure it is tight...roll the paper around till the glue is up...lick the glue and pull the paper down...lick the seam good now get the lighter and dry the moister by moving it up and down for a few seconds...now take your bill and wrap the paper and pencil roll the bill in the direction you laid the seam down...now slide the tube to the end of the pencil exposing a 1/4 or so...now hold the tube with your finger...scupe a little bud into the tube...then turn the pencil up and tap it on the tray or clip board till the bud settles...now expose more of the tube and repeat till the tube is full...after that pinch the end and push the pencil up till the bud is nice and compact...now twist the open end...remove the pencil and fill the tube with more bud till it is full...compact it again and repeat till the tube is filled with bud...now take the other end and tie it at about a 1/4...now take the bill and wrap the joint and slide the bill up or down in the direction of the seam...or if you like open ended joints like me use lighter to smoke...

that shit looks like it took about an hour and runs on both sides like a drunk runaway slave. at like step three pull that "wrap" off the pencil and "snort" all that ground weed into it (and no dont put the joint in your nose, just kinda spread out the duff and suck it up, i suggest clogin the side your scuking on with a little nug so while your sucking it in and then smoking it you dont get skooby snacks,) and then tamp it down with the pencil, seems like it would save you time. but what eva. just learn how to roll. like noramlly. like a human. OR you can shell our two bucks at your local habaid shop and get one of the top or zig zag joint rollers. those old schooll ones from the 70s with the fabric crap...god i miss those....

But you did give a good piece of advice you can go to the smoke shop and buy a roller. Or you can have "dick" here come over to your house and do it for you. I prefer to use my cigarette maker. takes about 2 bowls of bud a *j*. its alot faster than those old school mechanical rollers. I just pop out the filters with a tweezers after i fill them, i rip off a bit of the filter trying to get it sort of like how cotton balls are and push it in to stop any sucking through . If i have the bud all ready i can *roll* about 4-5 a minute. not counting removing the filter, which i dont bother to do till im ready to smoke it. The only downside imo is i smoke way too many joints cuz its so easy, lol. Between last friday night and saturday night i smoked 18 joints by myself.

Hey Dark thanks for stopping by...I know what you're talking about...I've bought those bugler slide rollers and the tubes. Makes life a lot easier...I posted this because there are people that don't know and it's in a pinch kinda thinking. I ran out of tubes months ago...and had these papers sitting there you know the free ones they give away if you go by there store. I'm not a big joint smoker though just thought I'd try a couple too night. And post something up that a new user will find useful in a pinch. this team here plans on delving further into this arena as i am in the supposed process titled, "learning to roll".

the criteria of 2-5 minutes must swiftly be dropped to 1-2 minutes as one advances to intermediate "learning to roll" and beyond.

what happens if you're camping, then a survival situation occurs and all you have are a match, your papers, smoke and hopefully a monogrammed heirloom grinder? try minimalist rolling, it may save a life!

ok got way too high to rmeber to take the pictures...but the joints where good acually i used a sharpee and your method didnt suck half as bad as i thought it would...i mean it sucked but not like a pro, ya know??? haha acually it was a lot quicker then i had thought but it was kinda hard to get packed really tight. i will make it a job for me to try again today with pictures fo sho

Yeah you use the pencil to pack the tube. And take you're time Moser.

i used to do this but it just takes sooo much time. freehand doesn't take long to learn you just need to practice it. and by practice it i mean smoke a lot of joints that you rolled yourself. hell you can even just roll one, tear it up and repeat until you have it down. have you tried the boat method? i just a similar method where i fold the corners on end end and then fold from the end a few times like a real tight fold (sounds more cmplex than it is). or you can use the original boat method and do it to both ends. This helps a lot to get the process down. also try rolling with cheapo papers like the 99 cent JOBs or regular zig zags (not so cheap but same quality). they may not taste as clean as rice papers but they roll very easy. trust me, if i can do it with my fat little fingers, anyone can.
