I'm checking out my trichomes and they are pretty much all amber right now, but I've only been running plain water for about 4 days now instead of the recommended 7 days. I'm just wondering if it would be better to wait the whole week before harvest or harvest now before the trichomes start to get too brown? I've read that your trichs can get 'too ripe' and I don't want to lose potency.
How important to run plain water prior to harvest?

I like to flush last 10 days. Gives me smoother, better, more tasty smoke

when i get to that point, im gonna flush from 7/10 days also.. leaning more too 10.. i dont want harsh chemical tasting dank.. hope it works ok for me..

I flush the last three or four days.
It doesnt take very long to get the fertilizer out of them.
When you do flush dont have the water pure, drop the ppm down to 300 - 500. I used pure water only for a few days once and nutrient deficiencies started showing up and doing weird things to the plants.
If you want to use just pure water do it just the last day or so.

I grow hydro and aero so i flush 3-5 days max.taste is much better when flushed correctly then not flushed

Flush should run 7 to 10 days. I like to see all my leaves turning yellow, which means the plant is eating up its stored food reserves.
Did you use chemical or organic nutes?
Organic nutes will let you get away with no flush or less of a flush than normal.
Chem nutes need to get a thorough flush cuz you don't want to be smoking minerals.
Unflushed weed will be harsher to smoke.
