How late is too late

I have one plant this year. It bloomed really early, June 24 I think.
I’ve been harvesting a little at a time starting September 6… in those 2 weeks, the plant has really started putting off a nice aroma and turning purple. I think the 6th was a bit early.

Trimming this morning I noticed that if/when I cut through bud material some of them are hard, like a nut… normal or have I waited too long?

I don’t have much in the way of amber sticky stuff, mostly milky white, I’d like to leave some until I get some sleepy-time amber.

Will I ruin what’s left by not harvesting?

BTW: I keep a fan on it 24/7 and roll it inside every night. So bud rot and worms are not an issue!

By the looks of it, you could easily let her go a couple more weeks without her being overripe. A lot of strains have a broad window for the best flavor/effect. Personally, the way she looks right now is probably the earliest that I would start thinking about harvesting, but most of the time I let them mature longer.
I'm not sure about the part about it feeling hard when you cut through the bud, possible that you may be hitting a seed(?), or sometimes soil or random stuff gets into the bud.

Looks frosty, have fun!
