how long after topping should I wait to flower?

today is the 5 week point for my lil babes, I topped them to celebrate not remembering my research about growth rates in veg and flower states. do you think 10 more days in veg is enough for the new growth to be ready for the whole plant to flower?

oh any no worries about the curling. it was a small ventilation problem that I have corrected.

They look pretty healthy, so you should be okay if you throw them on 12/12. I usually keep it a rule of thumb to try to wait at least a week after topping, FIM, etc....for them to recover, so 10 days should be a-okay. I am concerned that they are growing a little slow, thinking that those new shoots should be more developed than they are, after 10 days. Hmm....it might be a good idea to give them a light dose of veg fert, because those lower leaves are getting yellow. Otherwise, they look pretty good. Maybe they could use more light? Are you up over 3000 lumens per square foot? I've found that a cheap light meter provides a huge 'piece of mind', and eliminates guessing whether they have a proper amount of light, or not. You'd really be surprised at what two inches of distance can do for the light output. It can be the difference between vigorous growth and crappy growth. Trust me.

i hear lumens are only how humans view lights NOT plants it matters not what a meter that measures irrelevant information has to say,

the topping was done 12 hours before that picture. I'm just saying i'd like to be flowering a week from today. you answered my question anyway and I will wait til next Sunday and check the new growth.

One more thing.....They are starting to get a little light in color, so that tells you that a nitrogen deficiency is starting to happen. It's time to hit them with some 'high nitrogen' veg fert, before it gets any worse. Also, make sure you continue to use veg fert throughout the first couple weeks of bloom, as they go though the initial stretching period, because they burn up alot of N and will turn yellow on ya early, really reducing your yield. Then switch to you bloom fert at around week 3-4, and they should finish out nicely.
