How Long before I can crop?

Hello all,

This is the first time I have ever decided to grow my own marijuana.

Have a mega cheap setup, couple of
fluorescents and watered twice a week. See pics.

Anyway i am in the third week of flowering and would like to know when i am able to crop the plants? what should i look for when they are ready? colour changes etc...

Another question, what is the best way do get the green ready to smoke?

Any help would be most appreciated.

depending on strain your looking at around 8 weeks, to no when there ready you need a pocket microscope and the tric's should be cloudy to amber (but depends how you like your smoke head high chop when cloudy, couch lock chop when amber, when you have chopped her and took the leaves off hang her upside down in a cupboard for a week till dry then get a glass jar and store them in there, dont forget to open the jar every day to let moister out and this stops them going mouldy
