How long can a plant be vegged for

Hey all and good day, I am going to be doing my little experiment and going to try to veg my 1 plant for a year before flowering it is going to be an all natural grow and the on florecents when the light cycle outdoors change for a maximum of 18/6 will be posting pics and keeping yall updated thru out the year rite now im a week into my 2nd month . Oh yeah b4 I go was wondering during cloning I was wondering I have read that a plants root structure grows during dark periods so if I started cloning on regular sunlight would that work?

Cloning on regular sunlight is often encouraged and prefered

how are you going to flower a plant you veg that long. roots dont need dark to grow when i cloned my plants i had a light on 24 hours
