How long can I keep a..

Hey guys, just a quick one.

How long can I keep a newly sprouted (broken soil) in a regular sized plastic cup for without it getting root bound or something?

Same question again except in a 1 Gal pot how long before I'd have to t-plant it

I've run out of space at the moment, any advice, tips or comments is greatly appreciated.

you can keep that seedling in the cup for awhile, i,d say no more than 6 weeks... when the plant becomes root bound simply trim rotting or discolored roots do not trim white roots; then re-pot into the same container.

the one gallon pot you can keep in longer, when root bound... trim the roots

are these feminized seeds?

Yeah you could keep it in there for years if you wanted I imagine, I kept a Pineapple Chunk mother in a solo cup for over a year. I trimmed the root ball back every couple months and re-potted in the same cup with some fresh soil. Like Potbelly and Skunkushybrid01 said basically. In the 1 gallon you could go all the way to harvest with a smaller to medium sized plant depending on how long you veg and how long your strain flowers. I have grown a fairly large plant in a 1 gallon but the yield seemed to suffer she wanted more root space.

When the roots run out of space they slow down on growth... just like if you place a young plant into propagation it will stall on growing and you could keep it for months like that, so long as you take care of it.

I've never had to cut any root balls back... but I did run a heap of small pot experiments that lasted a few years. I even grew in shallow water, one res was just 2" deep, but long like a flat bed. The other shallow water experiment was done in a 500ml pot... no root trimming and I carried through to harvest both times.

But by cutting the roots back - will this stress her?
