Absolutely.
Some people like to step up in pot size as the plant grows.
Some go straight into their final pot size just like if you were transplanting outside in the ground.
I've done it both ways and it's easier just going straight to the smart pots.
Especially since you can just water and don't have to feed for 3 or 4 weeks if you're using soil.
I've also gotten my biggest plants that way.
Less stress on the roots.
If you're doing straight coco and bottled nutes, it could cost you a little more feeding a whole pot for a small plant, but not that much.
If the plants aren't sexed yet .... I could see the argument for stepping up until you know, but if you have the space already allotted then no big deal.
If they are feminized or clones they just go straight to their big house in soil no matter what.
