How Long Can You Leave Your Grow Unattended?

we have different connotations here, and connotations are always subjective.

to be entirely objective:

drain to waste means after the solution passes through the root zone once it is discarded.
Drain to waste..they eat off the food for a week, you drain and waste it.Yes it recirculates in the res back to the plants but its not a recirculating nute cycle.

recirculate means that after the solution is passed through the root zone once, it is collected and reused, usually multiple times. You are right.Thats what i was trying to tell you!:clap:

if you have your roots suspended in a container of solution that's recirculating hydroponics.

every bubbleponic or dwc setup i've seen is recirculating. Not mine

i can overlook you assuming my ignorance if you can tolerate my persistence, lol. Of course i can![/QUOTE]

it doesn't really matter, but i guess we could go either way on this one.

generally speaking

dwc could be considered drain to waste if you add solution once, the plants feed, and you drain it and discard.

while on the other hand

dwc could be considered recirc because you're leaving the plants in the solution for a week and adjusting pH/ppm throughout the week.

i guess i just though you were doing something drastically different and i wanted to know what it was. thanks for being cool about my interrogation...lol

Whoa. Lol. Clear up even though its not neccesary. Drain to waste is just that. Ur tables flood. And insted of ur overflow and drain going back into the res it leaves a seperate drain and and is never seen again. Recurculating is just the opposite. U would flood the table and let it all drain back into the resevoir... Thus recirculating ur solutin up 30x in some cases before changing out ur res. Dwc is recirculating. If it wasn't it would be flood and drain. Anywho I just felt I needed to get in on that as I lacked attention as a child lol

As you can see i am a very patient person when someone is in the dark about something that i know about and can share to help the person and his plants!:weed:

when i was using gh nutes i used their recirculating feed schedule.

just a difference in concentration - like how some manufacturers' feed schedules offer a range of light to aggressive feeding.

i knew you grew some dank, dude. lol
