How long does it take to show sex?

They should already be showing there sex. Look at the pistols where the nodes form. If you know how to identify the females you should be able to tell. Be careful just because you think you have a female it may not always be true. She could be a he (hermie) watch the plant carefully throughout the bud cycle for any signs of banana flowers or male pods. Good luck.

How long did you veg for? If it was a short period, they might not be mature enough just yet and you'll need a little more time. Usually it happens in a week to 10 days if the plant is old enough.
I veg for about 6 weeks (I can't go 8 because of height issues) and I usually see sex anywhere from 3-7 days.

I veg'ed it for z43 days and on day 8 in flowering 12/12 I'm in a bubbleponic system but I did stress it out but transplanting it from coco to bubbleponic in week two. But it's super healthy now. But I'll keep my eye out for any pistols. I'm really hoping its a female, but I just germinated a auto blue mystic and it's 4 days old now, if it's a male I still have that and more too. Thanks for the info!!!

Your set up is similar to mine -- bubble buckets. Do you have alternating nodes on your plants, or are all the nodes still across from each other. Also, what's the growth rate?
You should really check very carefully for any potential light leak, just to make sure they're really on full blackness for 12 hours.
Transplanting four weeks ago might have slowed it down a bit. It would mean you flipped about 3 weeks after transplanting…it should be okay, but maybe that's a contributing factor.
Can you take a photo of a bud site so we can see what's going on?

mine are on day 18 of flowering, 2 of them were showing sex after 7 days but the other didn't show till day 12. The later one's flowering cycle is 2 weeks longer than my other 2 so it allot of it depends on the strain

Ya I'm sure the stress didn't help at all but it was a rookie move haha. I'll have to take pictures tomorrow cuz once I got done with dinner it was already sleeping. But I'll post some tomorrow for sure. I'm Growing with cfls I dunno if that makes any difference but I just ordered a 250w hps so that will help on my next grow. My buddy is gonna lend me some of his led panels to let me try em out too. Stoked on that.
