How long for Dixie cup to dry

Im using dixie cups on seedlings. I suspected overwatering when one of my plants started looking really bad (now 3). I havent watered in 2 days, and plan on going today without watering. I put my moisture tester in at root level it is still moist, at the bottom, its totally wet according to the tester. Is this normal? Or should I add more drainage? I got mad holes at the bottom, so im not sure why its staying so wet.

Please only reply if you've used dixie cups or something that small so you have experience to tell me, yeah this is normal, or no, you're doing something wrong.

let them dry real good, i noticed whe i took my seedling out of the cups, the bottom was just mud....dont worry about it drying out to much, you will know if it needs water, the plant will show, if it statrts to wilt from lack of moisture just water and it will be fine

They can dry out real quick or not so quick. It depends on how big the plant in there is and how fast it drinks the water. If you just put a cup of soil in there with no plant it might take 5 days for it to dry out if your room aint too hot. If there is a 10 inch clone in there you are going to have to water every day (watch for it to get root bound)
