How long from my seedlings until i start to veg.. 18/6 ???

Hey can anyone help me i dont know how long to grow my plants before i put them under my 600 hps?? and how close to the 600 hps do i put them ?? i currently have 10 seedlings just broken ground under cfl and theyre doing great.. i needto know when to do the change... thanks EcKtOpLaZmbongsmilie

you can start the seedlings under any light you want. metal halide and hps you should just not go so close until they have established a root structure and no longer seedling. so just keep the light a couple feet above them and as they get bigger get em to maybe 10 inches away. assuming you are air cooled. if not maybe 4 ft then 18 inches .....

how long do i keep them in veg from seed ?? these little guys look awsome this is my first grow and cant wait to see them grow... another thing i have purchased biobizz products ....biobloom...biogrow..and topmax... when should i start using these products??? cheers ecktoplazm

you can wait to use the biogrow till they start showing hunger signs ....yellowing. or you can start now but a tiny tiny bit. veg as long as you like. if you got the room then veg for a few months. i used to veg for a few weeks but only get like between a half to a zip. now i veg for two months and get much more.

i dont want to veg for too long tho ?? .. i was told you can veg for 5 weeks then flower for 5 and you can get around 5 ounce per plant,,?? i am going to keep my plants under the cfl for 3 weeks until they are up and then place them under the 600 hps, thanks for the info bro its appreciated man

21 days thats 3 weeks is the min you want to veg for. Understand the longer you veg the more you will yield. But 3 weeks is the shortest amount of time you should veg for.

OP, what are you joking? please, go read for a couple days and then decide if you still wanna venture. 5 weeks and 5 weeks? and 5 ounces? your soo off. going with your five weeks veg ....you get 5 weeks veg and 9-12 weeks bloom and 1.5 oz.

mr ganja i am only going by what my friends HAVE GROWN... i know some people who have had 7 OUNCES per plant.. its how you treat and grown your plants.. if i put my plants in a meter squared there and veg for long enough im pretty sure i could yeild 5 ounce without no problems... i think mybe you should go read because it is possible ... 1-2 weeks, then veg for another 2-4 weeks depending on how big you want them to get. When you place them under the 600 I would put them off to the side (not directly under the light) so they get use to the light. Do this for a few days then you can arrange them under the light. 13-20 inch is usually the normal, but the closer the better, but this all depends on how hot your light is running. I usually have a string hanging from my light about 15 inches long so I can tell how much to raise or lower the light. Some people use their hand as an indicator, but I don't recommend this method until you know what you are doing.

Really you guys, keep it freindly :)

I know a couple of big scale growers who have been doing it years... if they got those yields they would have retired to Monaco years ago.

Best of luck to you though, and seriously, if you do get anything anywhere near that, let us know

seriously hettyman i have witnessed these grows.. That is part of the reason i have started doing it myself, these guys grow quite alot they make 14k ever 10 weeks with just 14 plants.. I am not joking guys.... what is your averege yeild ?? i will find out how they get these yields and let yous know....EcKtOpLaZm

I did 3 weeks veg and 8 weeks flower and got 1.5 ounces off each plant. Was it the strain? :-P

Fair play, I'm pretty excited about that.

I've only had one crop from clones which was botched and rushed due to problems with a house mate. It was my first attempt, and while it smoked lovely, it was a dissapointing amount.

I'm now on my second grow, from seeds this time (still only seedlings), only to smoke, but if i can get anything near that...it'll be a good weekend!!

how are you planning on pulling off 5oz. from one plant on your first grow? I'm very interested to read about this, lol.

no you veg for 6 weeks then flower for 9 weeks. and i was asking if it was possible if you could do 5/5. listen guys im just trying to do what my mates are doing.. yes it is my first grow if fails who cares at least i would have learned something.. but i can asure you my mates are yeilding 5 ounce per plant seriously...why would i come on here and lie when im all ears to your info.. thanks ecktoplazm
