9 weeks or so into flowering. If not more. Hairs are starting to turn on the tops of all the buds. I can see no clear trichs, all milky under a 60x-100x mostly 60x cause its easier to see many. But. 1 or 2 amber in all. The forcast predicts snow/rain/sleet. Then hurricane sandy is gonna play part adding more snow and rain. at a lower elevation so mostly rain. But the temps wont get out of the high 40s and will drop to around 30 or so. I was wondering if it could get away with a good end product if she was chopped in a couple days. Strain is WhiteWidow/BigBud. Nutes are Humbolt Bloom. Feeding until the day i chop.

Any advice will be taken into part. will either batten down the hatches and prepare for what ever may come and ride it out or wait to just before the snow/rain and pull her. Its suppose to rain/snow for 4 days and the hurricane may intensify it. What should i do.

This new climate i havent adapted too yet. Where i was i never had to worry about hurricanes and the temp never really stayed below 40s. This year i just dont know. I will most likley leave her and cover her if shit gets too bad. Not knowing what would happen if i did pull would kill me so i guess im in it for the long run. Ive survived tornadoes, drought, floods, and near death heat and Never a damn hurricane. But i do pray for those who are in its path. I hope she weakens or pulls northeast.

Bummer, looks like they are at least 2 weeks out. High winds will tear them up. They can handle 40 degrees. But the hurricane she sounds like she is going to be a real bad one. Damn, dude I wish you lots of luck! And your plants too.

Please any help. Has anyone been through a hurricane with plants in the ground? Has anyone chopped a week or 2 early in face of a threat like this or any reason? was the smoke still potent. Im used growing out west. This eastcoast is killing me.

I havent had a lady outside for a hurricane before....im all for letting them finish if at all possibe, however a friend of mine took a whole plant after 30 days because one branch couldnt handle the weight and it fell to the floor...now I constantly remind him of his stupidity but only after 30days, she was pretty damn tasty and packed a mean buzz...but it was an indoor grow....i had mr choppy out yesterday for some advice and he said cut it...looks good, coated nicely...i thimk hes anxious to try it tho lol

I dont have that luck....actually after having four 8+ footers and a 3footer all just disappear last year, im afraid to chance it :(

Good luck with the storm, im in va so we wont see any snow like you are going to....but im equally afraid of losing another lady

i harvested the tops and middle branches. Gonna let her plump up the botttom nuggies. When i braught her in i checked out her insides good and id say about 15% amber. Little less on the lower buds but im happy with my choice. Will post pics and show you what shee looks like now.

wet i have 6 ozs just from what i have harvested. i say another wet oz is left. I hope i get at least an oz or two dry. One plant 4 feet tall. The buds are very VERY sticky and the smell reminds me of grape soda and a hint of something else. just cant put together what that is. Had a great year thanks for everyone who helped out along the way.

Speaking from experience with hurricnes/tropical storms...chop'em asap. The wind is going to destroy them. I lost half of my crop to Irene last yr. Milky trics are fine to harvest. Good luck.

Defiantly . 2 years ago i had a tornado rip through my shit and i lost 30 plants. only had 10 left. all of them were 5foot and above. I swear it must have rained weed on my neighbors because i could not find a single scrap worth salvaging.Today though I harvested a good 2/3rds of her leaving the bottom nugs to weather through it and pack on a little more weight. My years pretty much over and i couldnt be happier. This east coast weather aint no joke.

chop it dry it cure it . i did it when we had storms and the only thing i regret is that they were not as beg as they could have been but the high was unreal (1.5 weeks out aprox)

My lady saw day one of hurricane sandy and the rest was tropical storm. Just the bottom nuggies were left though and after day one in 50mph winds i put on my windbreaker and grabbed a box the next morning and finished the deed. Needless to say my season is over and it ended with a bang. Ended up with another OZ and a 3rd so 7 and 1/3 wet. Im still hopin i get an oz. Ill post the last pics ever and a proper way to partially harvest your plant without shockin the hell out of her.
