How long till I chop?

Hello all!

Coming close to the end of my first grow.
Just wondering how long you think my girls have left? I was thinking I should harvest next Sunday (10th) as that would be 8 weeks from flip but then again see if it can make 60 days which would take me to the 15th...
I have taken a close look at the trichomes with my 60x loupe and (to the best of my newbie ability) they look to still be clear(ish)? I just wondered if you guys could tell me what you think. Any estimates? I dno if you can tell by the hairs.

I just don’t want to harvest too early, nor do I want super couchlock as this is a heavy indica anyway.

I flipped on the 14th of jan.

hey man, nice looking buds

you still got a while to go yet. the breeders pack dont usually tell the whole story as far as flowering time.

You have white pistils still firing straight out and as you say all clear tricomes, im still new to all of this as well, have been getting advice like crazy this past week because im almost at harvest.

You still have allot of white hairs could go another week maybe more if you have clear trichs wait it out. You can tell cloudy from clear is this sativa? It'll go 10-12 weeks if so my sativa's took about 12 weeks to be done and boy it was fireeeeee

Heavy indica so I doubt it will go as long as that. Would completely overshoot the breeders timescales if so (not that I’m taking their word for it) I’m excited to look again tonight when I get home from work because every day is new, visible growth. Part of me wants it to keep going, keep seeing new white hairs etc but the other half of me wants it down ASAP. I wanna try my smoke!

Would be great to see pics also. Love seeing how other newbies are doing. It’s how I gauge if I’m doing well.

Give or take...a week...a day? Thankyou for your response however it’s more unhelpful than anything else. Another 4 weeks would put my girls into their 11th week of flower and as far as I know from research, for a mostly indica plant, that’s quite a bold claim/estimation to make not to mention could cost me heavily in the kind of high/potency I’m looking for. By then I’m almost certain (albeit from research) alot of the trichs would be amber...

You should be more careful when giving out information. Especially in the newbie section. You could cost someone dearly with bad advice. Having said this, I will update this thread a couple of days after I decide to bring them down detailing how the trichs were looking as well as the day/week. If you turn out to be right I’m gunna look like a right plonker! I don’t mean to cause any offence also. I know I was the one asking for advice. Thanks again.

You wont need a scope if that bottom pic keeps swelling as it is, it will look ready when you need to chop.

Try wait for all pistils to brown and all calyxs to swell, too easy to harvest early gain patience and your smoke will thank you :-)

Id say three weeks but you need to re check again with us in a couple of weeks.

ill be honest, when i first seen the pics, my initial reaction was 3-4 weeks

like i said tho, im very new and still trying to learn this stuff myself, so it was more of a guess based on information ive been given or have learned in my travels lol

Cfls can sometimes take longer to finish flower than more intense lighting imo.

Lots of things can prolong flower, first time growers cycles can frequently take a week or 2 longer than someone who's ran the strain several times.

I'd say maybe the 15th of march if you want to be early, but yours look a lot like mine and I'm going to be harvesting around the 28th of March. Hope this helps.

Dude I know the feeling, currently waiting on my first crop to finish. Thankfully I have a dispensary down the road to help with the waiting blues.

So 8 weeks from the flip is 56 days. The first 7-10 days are your plant changing from veg to flowering stage. So your true flowering time to match up with the date on the breeder pack is 49 days. I can't see if any of the trichs are turning amber yet.

You got good advice dude, go easy on peeps as its an easy question.

Early bud can kill your harvest, it led some older members to formulate the advice for new growers that when they think its ready wait another two weeks.

So far so good but this is the money part and any mistakes will show in the finished bud.

You cant grow this plant without patience and a lot of it :-)
