How long till the clone is dead if there is an air bubble? PICSS

The title pretty much says it all...I took my first clone ever yesterday off of my first plant...and from all the stuff ive read, you have to be careful not to let an air bubble get in the stem or it will prevent water uptake. I took the clone around 10am yesterday and put it in a glass of water immediately. It still looks the same as when I cut it, does that mean I am safe on the air bubble? How long does it take to see signs that the clone is going to die from the time you cut it?

your plants phenos have a lot to do with how fast it will root.
I've been cloning some g13 x Haze and man i don't think i could kill a clone. so far i've rooted 20-30 clones and haven't lost a single one. I usually see roots in 7 days but i have seen it take 14 days if i don't keep light away from the stems or if it gets too cool in my clone/ veg area.
My method is simple as it gets. I use an old 1 gal plastic butter/margerine tub. after i've cleaned the tub really well i cut a few dime sized holes in the lid. I use little pcs of an old car washing sponge to hold the clones up. I cut a clone, scratch the outer part until i see a little of the white skin inside. dip the stem into rooting powder and then straight into water. i dont ph the water but i do make sure its warm, like 80 degrees, no light gets to the stems/roots, and a cpl cfl's a foot away or so.

Ive tried many times with just water, slight nutes, cloning gel, making sure no O2 gets into the stem, dome, no dome, misting, no misting, and bullocks nothing ever worked. They all turned shitty after 7-10 days, shriveled and died. Finally after getting an airstone and small air pump, they stay really healthy and strong with no droop whatsoever. The no oxygen claim is a lie in my opinion. The only way to clone in just water is to have a very good oxygen level in the water. Otherwise they shrivel and die from sitting there.
