how long to properly line dry before the cure?

This is personal preference, but I put them in jars for curing when they're dry on the outside, but the stem is still bendable.

agreed.
how long can also depend on your envirionment your drynig in. humidity, temp, ventilation.
i like to put it in jars a little early when i know its still moist in the middle. you need to be extra carefull so you dont lose your meds. to mold. the first time it goes into jars, it may only be in there for about 4 hours. then once everything is evened out, i put it into paper bags for about 6 hours to dry a little and then back into jars.

you have to remember not to dry too much or you wont get a proper cure.
on the other hand too wet will give you mold.

it just takes practice and experience. you will be able to tell what to do by smell and feel. once you get it right, you will know.

Just a tip, dont go pinchin and squeezin too much on yer buds cause evert time you do you smash trichomes that are still getting more potenet and smashing them puts a stop to that.

I let mine line dry just until the stem snaps.

yes...this is the best way IMO... everyone's humidity conditions are different and bud density will affect it also... but USUALLY when the "bud" stem gets snappy...they are ready to jar.

i normally put them into the jars after hanging them for about 7-10 days
