How long to Veg clones?

hi gents/ladies,

just trying to get a estimate of how long to veg my clones for. I understand that flowering will probably double their height, so should i use that as a rule of thumb?

These are Nirvana Super Skunks and the cuttings were taken approx 2 wks ago from two 45 day old mothers.

I jumped too early on my first cloning experience (mother @ 25 days) and since then I have improved my cloning technic from 12 days to 6 days. I LOVE H2O2!

Looks great so far.
Double in height for flowering is a good rule of thumb, but some strains exceed this.

Are you asking this because you have a height restriction?

yeah..being a grow virgin I have made a few mistakes...the biggest one was allowing my skunks to hit 30" before flower...long story short I owe my wife a new ceiling in the closet:-)

im optimally aiming for a max height of about 36-42"...with this in mind I guess i should let the clones grow grow grow til about 18" high ???

Just to say I like the looks of your girls. How long you want to veg them depends what you want from them. Since you've got the cloning down, it seems easy enough to grow many smaller plants, rather than few and large. Sometimes legislation can be an issue - stupidly enough.
Looking forward to have clones like yours - looking good.

i hear ya and thanx for the kind words....there is proposed law change for weed cultivation here in canada soon....generally if you grow 5+ planst you might as well make it 199...! mandatory jail time of 1-6 mths for 1-5 plants i think the change is proposed to be....I really dont give 2 fucks for the silly shit...i dont operate a crystal lab and i dont sell to kids or any1 for that matter...just a low income hard working man who prefers to eat his own baked bread over the store bought sprayed shit....

trust me when i say i tried many methods for cloning...minus the cloning machines available which I think are outrageously priced...i've tried about everything...and for my planst i found the best was to combine both water and soil methods....

- dip cuts in liquid rooting solution
- put cuttings in 1-2" deep 5.8pH water with peroxide and P-nutes
- wait 3-4 days for root bumps
- transplant to CLEAR 4oz cups of soil/perlite 6.5pH for 2-3 days
- after good root developement is apparent transplant to 1 gal soiled pots

i realize there will be more shortcuts to my methods...but if it works..i say go with it...for now anyways:-)
