How Long to Veg For?

hey, quick noob question, im growing sum bag seeds, indoors under sum cfls. i was wondering how long do i veg them for (under 24hr light) before i switch to the flowering(12/12 light/dark)?

you can pretty much switch them whenever you want, or until they show preflowers. do you know the sexes of them yet?

depends on how big you want them. for my space I go for about a month or so.

If you plan on flowering with cfl's then I'd flower within 2-3 weeks. You can't flower a 4' plant with cfl's (well, you can but it's not worth the time/effort)

lst and scrog methods will extend your veg times if you want to fill your growspace with bud, but with cfl's you have to balance time/effort with payoff. Personally, I'd do a sea of green 12/12 from seed/clone (preferably clone) under cfl's, provided there's enough light. How many watts are you running?

i veg for 6 weeks with my 600 hps..so you should plan on flowering early

thanks for the replies. i dont know the plants sexs yet. my cfl totoal wattage is 300watt.

right now ive been vegin for 5 weeks, so i guess its time to switch over to 12/12

well i just added 3 more 100watt cfl daylight bulbs to the grow box and wrapped the walls in reflective foil, so ill give it 2 more weeks of veg, to see if there is any diffrence in growth(should be) then ill switch over to 12/12. i want largest plants i can get!
