I’m looking at a area of 5x20 ft (so 5 ft wide and 20 ft long)with 12-13 ft ceiling. This is a enclosed room with two door ways in a dry basement. Could I put 4 1000 watt winged reflector lamps in this room if ac cooled and ventilated? Looking to fill this space with 400 clones in a SOG grow. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

5 feet wide doesn’t give you much working room. 4x4 is the average foot print .
Gives you 12” to walk n work, (not enough)
I’d do LEDs 36 wide , 24” walk way

In a 5x20? Footprint on a 1000 is 4x4 max 5x5 I’ve had one in a 5x5 tent I don’t see them doing much more than that as far as footprint goes
So you’re suggesting 3.5x5 tables how tall? And running just 3 1000’s dimable or full power?you can try 3000 but it may be a bit much with heat and light......
not many can run 1000 over a 4 by 4 but yes if you can do it!!

That's a lot of heat..
high enough to get a res under them... and comfortable to work at.
full power if you can deal with the heat.
Start with lower power giving them more as weeks go by
..last two full light.
save some hydro...plants do well growing with less heat.
