How many cfl lights will I need to vegetate 2 plants and flower them?

I want to use cfl lights till harvest and I was wondering how many lights I would need and what color for 2 plants.

depends on where you wanna grow.. What kinda space are you looking at? Get that figured out and the illuminate that area til your @ 35 w per sq ft....

how many lights depends on their wattage; the colors are blue and red. do some more homework. not knowing what colors to use points to a lack of research. check out some of the stickies. stoners help those who help themselves

i would put 2 42 watt and 2 23 watt on each side of the plant.. maybe add more 23 watt once you hit the flowering state

IMHO learn to love lumens. 6-8k per plant in Veg (bright daylight colour) 8-10k per plant in flower (soft white colour).

If your grow space is confined and well reflected you can lower these numbers.

100 actual watts for your first plant with 50 actual watts each plant after is a safe bet. You need 6500k (more blue) for veg which are also called "daylight" or "cool white" and 2700k (more yellow) for flowering, which are sometimes called "soft" or "warm light"
