How many days before they show sex

I currently went o 12/12 last Friday(13th),,,,bout how long before they start showing sex?

That is a loaded question.

Many variables come into play.

Sit back and enjoy your grow. The plant will show sex when it is ready.

Probably not the answer you are looking for, but any estimate given based on the information provided would be a guess anyway.

A mature plant will show in days, an immature plant may take weeks.

I vegged for 6 weeks, under flourescents, had alternating branches, all plants around 14 to 16" high.....didnt have space to let go any higher.

It's usually on the third date.

yea, its really hard to say, usually takes a week before plants can switch over to flower mode. how big are your plants? what strain?

i duno if other people do this or not, but i have... i usually start my seedlings off in those little 12 ounce red plastic cups. i let the plants grow rather large in the little cups, right to the point that they are begging to become root bound, it stresses the plant a little bit, and can cause it to show preflowers. i have done this with 3 of my grows and all three times i found out the sex of the plant before throwing it into flower. which was cool because i was able to throw out the males and make more room to veg only the females... but like i said, im no pro, and i dont know if my method is actually working or if im just lucky to get plants with preflowers.

Yeah, Dude. Growing is a waiting game.

Some variables might lead to an educated guess, but a guess nonetheless.

For example:

Strain? If you do not know the strain, is it indica or sativa?

Size of container.

How old is the plant. Alternately - what is the size of the plant in inches?

Vegging for six weeks is good. Same with the height. You should not have to wait too long depending on the other variables.

Do you have pics?

Dont know what stain,,,,,,just some old bag seed....plants are healthy look good, just wondering on how long it would take, may take your advice on the cups next grow, thanks guys for all the input.

Another ?........you actually leave them in those little cups till they show preflowers?

Indica or sativa?

a lot of the plants i grew last time around showed sex at like a month old. i never put em to 12 12 i just waited for preflowers to show. its pretty obvious when they show...after a while youll know right away what your dealing with.
